At EchoCoach, your family's privacy and data security are our highest priorities. Because we handle sensitive health and behavioral data, we adhere rigidly to the principles of data sovereignty.

1. Data Collection & Processing

EchoCoach tracks "ABC" (Antecedent, Behavior, Consequence) data, medications, and general session audio/text logs. All initial transcription processing occurs on your physical Apple device leveraging local speech recognition buffers.

2. On-Device Storage (SwiftData)

By default, your tracking data (Insights, Timelines, Mind Maps) is securely persisted solely to your local iOS device utilizing Apple's encrypted SwiftData framework. We do not extract your longitudinal progress charts to external analytics providers.

3. Cloud Synchronization & AI

• Cloud Backups: If you opt-in to cloud synchronization (e.g., for co-parenting data sharing), your data is securely persisted via Firebase/CloudKit utilizing strict authentication gating.
• AI Inference: When requesting complex Generative AI Coach analysis, anonymized contextual transcript payloads are processed securely. Your data is strictly excluded from being utilized as training data for future generalized LLM models.

4. Third-Party Sharing

We absolutely do not sell, rent, or trade your medical or behavioral data to advertising agencies or data brokers. You retain total control to execute PDF clinical exports strictly for your own Pediatric or IEP advocacy use.
